Bunyonyi By Boat
Lake Bunyonyi is home to 29 islands, full of wildlife and history. Embark on a 3 hrs guided boat tour to experience the various sights and sounds of area. Key islands visited include: the historic Punishment Island, Sharps Island, Upside-Down Island, Bushara Island, and Kyahugye Island where you can spot various animals and birdlife. Top it off with an exciting stop over at Supreme Adventure Park where you can zip-line over the lake across two islands !
Tours set off at 9am and 2pm daily from Bunyonyi Safaris Resort, with the option of taking a speedboat or MV Bunyonyi Cruise Boat.
Bunyonyi By Bike
Ride across the rolling green hills of Lake Bunyonyi on bicycle or motorbike. This guided 4hr adventure on two wheels allows you to see more of the surrounding scenery and communities around the lake.
Explore the surrounding cultural sites and stop at viewpoints with stunning views of the island spotted lake below.
Cycling and Motorbike tours set off at 9am or 2pm daily from Bunyonyi Safaris Resort, where you are welcome to spend the rest of the day enjoying the resort facilities after your tour.
Bunyonyi On Foot
Set off from Bunyonyi Safaris Resort for a 4hr guided hike to the iconic view points on the Bunyonyi peninsular. Trek through forest and community gardens with stunning views of the island spotted lake below.
Option to visit notable community members along the way, such as the local blacksmiths, medicine man and craft makers along the way.
Weather is cool and comfortable for hiking. We advise all hikers to wear comfortable sports or hiking shoes, and provide walking sticks and a bottle of mineral water for all hikers.
This day tour starts at 9am or 2pm daily, from Bunyonyi Safaris Resort, where you are welcome to spend the rest of your day enjoying the resort facilities after your hike.
